The Zürich Bible - 1931 edition - ebook

SKU: 9789057192326
Item 8 of 9

The first traces of the Zürich Bible go back to Zwingli’s Reformation of Switzerland. In the period between 1524 and 1529, an initial version of the New Testament and a selection of books from the Old Testament appeared. These translations were written by Zwingli and his friend, Leo Jud.

The 1931 edition of the Zürich Bible puts great emphasis on philological accuracy. In comparison to other German language Bible translations, the 1931 edition of the Zürich Bible is by far the most legible.

This edition of the Zürich Bible has been optimised for use as an eBook.

The Bible as an eBook has led Importantia Publishing to develop a very special approach. This approach allows:

  • the text to appear on your reading-device in a pleasant, highly legible form
  • use of a handy navigation system, allowing the reader to promptly find a specific book or chapter within the text
